443     BC New Sybaris founded as an Athenian colony, close to the site of the ruined Sybaris.
425     BC Name changed to Thourioi.
334-330 BC Italian campaign of the Epeirote King Alexander the Molossian, in the course
           of which he achieved a great victory over the Lucanians.
194     BC Thourioi received a Roman colony.
           The name of the city was changed to Copia.

In search of Sybaris the city of Thurii was found
